Amplid Dopamine - 2011

/images/brands/amplid/logo/amplid_logo.gif

Probably one of the most exciting releases of the year. Amplid build quality combined with a rail and park shredders dream spec; jib rocker for buttery smooth take-offs and forgiving landings and one of the most stylish licks of paint and diecut bases coming out of a snowboard factory in 2011. The Dopamine is a certified banger almost certain to have rippers worldwide emptying their Piggy Banks and heading down to their nearest Amplid dealer for a fix.

Hi Eric,

Yeah you are right the Amplid Dopamine looks amazing, I can’t wait to test it! Where do you live (country), I can email the guys at Amplid to find your nearest local dealer and the recommended retail price if you like.

Hey rich   4sure.  I live in Hamburg newyork.  right by the mckinley mall!  I can order it offline as well.

There’s a shop in Michigan that sells Amplid stuff - http://www.mountainsoulski.com/ (Sorry, doesn’t look so far on a map, but I’m guessing it’s a long way!)

You can also order online on the Amplid site itself. Click on the banner on this page and it’ll take you through to Amplid’s site where they’ll allow you to order direct from your nearest retailer.

The retail price for the Dopamine is $399. I didn’t realise how hard it is to get hold of Amplid stuff in the US. I tell you what, you can be sure you’ll be the only person rocking Amplid gear on your hill… that’s worth the effort. Good Luck!

Ok I tested the 2011/12 Dopamine yesterday which is pretty much identical. I’ve got to say that this is the best jib board I’ve ever ridden. Super flexy between the feet so you can press and butter with no problem and a stiffer nose and tail for stability when you are charging and for stomping landings. Also this thing flys and blasts through bumpy snow, with now issues even with it’s pretty soft torsional flex. I can’t recommend this board enough… definitely going to buy one next year.

your not wrong boys , yep its a sick little puppy , in fact i had one of my best days shredding on a 153cm @ the amplid sales meeting , ive not had a stupid grin on my face like that for over 18yrs , yep shes supper stable , yep she flys , and yep she kicks the shit out off most boards that youve heard off @ £295, its all so been the fastest selling jib rocker brd that weve ever sold in the shop of joy , if u need one for next yr let me know with in the next 2 weeks as im putting next seasons order together , its a shame that the uk shops cant look passed their noses ,  when it comes to making brds amplid r well ahead of most brands , hopefully more shops will think for themselves and stop copying each other , big dreams to u all , latter benny boy

Wow subtle plug Benny!

I’ll second Benny’s comment though, Amplid make great boards and it’s a shame that you can’t find them in loads of shops in the UK (or US for that matter). However, Benny’s shop Big Dreams is a great shop and has gone to huge efforts to support the scene in Dorset. So if you want a great freestyle snowboard and you’re base in the UK, you can’t do better than ordering a Dopamine off Benny at Big Dreams.
