Burton Nug - 2014 0 Burton Nug user review(s).

Get Rad-uctional with the Burton Nug and drop some length off what you normally ride from day to day. The Nug is designed to allow you to reduce your board length by between 8-10cm. Smaller boards are easier to maneuver and spin through the park amplifying the amount of fun you can have cruising the small jump line or hitting side-hits. The V-Rocker gives it a soft, buttery flex that is exactly what you need to perfect that nose press. Squeezebox is added into the equation to put a little more pop into your day and the Frostbite edges and Side Effects geometry are there to help regain some control lost by reducing the board’s effective edge and depening the sidecut. The Nug is marketed as a do-everything snowboard but in reality its for soft days on mellow terrain when you want to extract every gram of fun possible from a day on the hill.

Burton Process - 2014 0 Burton Process user review(s).

The cambered version of the Process is the choice of many Burton pros for slopestyle competitions because of its twin shape, middle of the road flex and dependable performance. Smooth Ride and Squeezbox technologies aid stabilityand enhance pop for bigger ollies. A directional flex gives a touch more power in the tail for variable terrain and Scoop Tech in the nose and tail reduce the risk of catching edges when buttering and pressing. The Burton Process is a dependable freestyle twin jam packed with features which is probably why Mark McMorris the world’s #1 chooses it from the entire line to thorw his triple corks on.

Burton TWC Pro - 2014 0 Burton TWC Pro user review(s).

The TWC Pro is Shaun White’s competition board of choice. We’ve heard Shaun hates the nickname the Flying Tomato… tough. From the park, to the pipe, this board screams for speed and edge control because that’s how the Flying Tomato likes to ride. The traditional camber provides maximum control at high speed and paired with the very narrow waist guarantees lightening fast edge-to-edge transitions. Frostbite Edges are there to imporve edge grip further and are probably only necessary in the iciest halfpipes. Whether you are trying to boost 20 feet out of the pipe, double cork your way down the park, or just straight line it like a bat out of hell, the TWC Pro will deliver. What did you expect from Shaun… I mean the Flying Tomato’s promodel?

Burton Descendant - 2014 0 Burton Descendant user review(s).

The Burton Descendant is the point in the Burton line-up where a comprehensive board-spec meets a great price and is aimed at inexperienced intermediates looking for a new jib board to add to their quiver. A Flat Top camber profile attempts to offer pop like a regular camber and increases flex and forgiveness. The Descendant’s extruded base features perimeter bevelling designed to help prevent you from catching your edges when turning those rail Zeaches to committed boardslides. Burton Process Flying V - 2014 0 Burton Process Flying V user review(s).

The Burton Process is a fun playful freestyle board waiting for a new set of bindings to be mounted on it, and shredded in the park. It is the choice of many Burton pros because of the twin shape, and playful feel. Don’t take this the wrong way, the Process doesn’t lack stability, its Smooth Ride technology helps absorb impacts and chatter and Squeezbox core profiling adds stiffness behind the bindings for increased ollie pop. The Process’ combination of features make a great freestyle board that is capable of holding its own tackling the whole mountain. Agressive experienced riders should choose the regular camber for stability and response; less experienced riders or those with a more relaxed riding style should consider the Flying-V version for a little more flex and play.

Burton Sherlock - 2014 0 Burton Sherlock user review(s).

Take the Burton Sherlock deep into the backcountry and huck yourself into deep powder. The Sherlock’s Side Effects geometry maximises surface area in a true twin shape and its floatation is further aided by its Flying-V camber. True twin shaping and a centred shape puts the rider directly centered between the nose and tail to make switch take-offs and landings that little bit more natural. The Sherlock’s Carbon-I beam helps to add pop without weight. Pillows, backcountry cheese wedges or the occassional park run, the Sherlaock has spearheaded a new genre of true twin snowboards with incredible pow riding ability.

Burton Barracuda - 2014 0 Burton Barracuda user review(s).

Want a piece of that surf style freeriding without commiting to the crazy taper of the Burton Fish or the swallow tail of the Cloud Splitter? The Barracuda is a versatile snowboard that can be enjoyed in any snow conditions or terrain but that really shows its true colours in fresh snow. S-Rocker puts rocker in the nose for effortless float in fresh snow; camber under the rear foot adds ollie pop and tail control in sketchy snow. The Barracuda is designed to dominate the technical aspects of backcountry and side country while adding a surfing like fluidity to your lines. The Fish might be the board of choice when riding chest deep powder in Japan’s tree-lined glades but when it comes to other conditions the Barracuda eats it for breakfast.

Burton Custom Flying V - 2014 0 Burton Custom Flying V user review(s).

While most other boards fall off the map after a few seasons, the Burton Custom has been an “all-terrain” answer since its release in 1995. This year the Custom is a little lighter than previous years, with carbon highlights integrated into its bag of goodies. The Custom’s classic time proven directional geometry conquers all terrain and the twin flex adds familiarity for smooth switch turns and pop. Choose between regular camber for return out of turns and control through carves, or Flying-V camber for a more relaxed, playful day around the mountain with that added lift in powder. The Burton Custom has been the industry standard for all-terrain and condition snowboarding for almost 20 years, that’s a reputation few brands can compete with, let alone boards.

This powder machine comes equipped with dampening pads to absorb impact; for you adventure nuts, feel free to take your bindings completely off and send it “no-board” style for the extreme powder surfing experience. Ship Bow styled shaping in the nose lets you float with little effort at all and helps a ton with pond skimming. A micro tail is just enough to splash with but don’t expect any ollie pop.

Are you one of those park rats taking your freestyle game into the bigger, badder backcountry scene? The Burton Trick Pony will suit you to the T. This deck was designed by some of the best backcountry senders in the game. John Jackson, Jussi Oksen and Mark Sollars stepped in to make a perfect deck for sending themselves . An almost entirely flat camber profile extends all the way across this twin deck, providing pop, power and control in either direction whilst offering more floatation than conventional camber.

The Cloudsplitter is aimed to be shredded by those backcountry activists. It is a directional monster that will rip with ease in the deepest powder in the world with the camber under the feet going into early rise camber in the nose. Not to mention the swallow tail that will allow you to sit in the back seat with ease. 60 degree carbon highlights make sure that you pop out of any situation you get yourself into. With great control at high speeds, do not be afraid to point this beast out of the “Big Beast” in your own back yard.

The Landlord get’s its name from the boss himself, Terje. This board is designed to go fast, and rip powder. With innovative new geometry, you will be riding a twin stance on a direction, cambered shred. Paired with the traditional camber, a Carbon I-beam gives the Burton Landlord a solid pop. Make those tight, aggresive and reactive turns on 50 degree terrain or point wide open terrain with fluidity and grace on this powder destroyer.
