Option? Oh yes…Option have really pushed the limits of visual sanity for the coming season. Bananas and Pickles were so last season!
There were a lot of boards with wacky graphics at Slide ‘09 but none were more ‘out there’ than the Option Influence…If you’re convinced Pigs and Dinosaurs are ‘so last season’ and fancy lifting the bar for next season then this is the board for you. The Influence is a rail slaying jib-stick with a bit of a twist; the top sheet is covered in angry looking Garden Gnome’s and the base is certainly very eye-catching.
Option have built the Influence to be bomb-proof; everything from the hard-wearing extruded base to the ABS sidewalls and 4 degree factory bevel scream rail riding. The Influence has also been given bi-axial fibreglass laminate to allow the board to flex torsionally and give a very forgiving ride; which although means the board may compromise on stability at speed, it means that when you take this board into the park or onto obstacle filled slopes it’s absolutely perfect. Then again we won’t know until we ride and review it in May.
