Ride freestyle offering beefed-up for 2010

Ride’s freestyle range has two new faces in 2010 to join the now legendary Kink and DH, both classic boards that have been dominating parks and hand rail sessions the world over for the last 5 years. Say hello to the Machete & DH2.

L: Machete, Cen: DH, R: DH2

The DH2 will be packing the same features as the standard DH… and a few extra suprises. The standard features found on both the DH and DH2 include 85A Slimewalls (Ride’s softer offering of urethane sidewall), a 4000 sintered base, the thicker reinforced Cleave edge, pop stix (carbon beams inserted into the core to increase the boards pop without increasing torsional or longitudinal stiffness) and a hybrid glass (a combination of biaxial and triaxial glass, designed to provide a forgiving stick that won’t wash out when you need a bit more torsional stiffness to ride out a slushy kicker landing). ‘So what are the extras’, I hear you ask.. throw in a ‘Lowrize’ rocker technology with a sidecut designed specifically to complement rocker shapes and the benefits of reduced weight thanks to the Membrane top sheet, and we’re talking about a extremely tasty package… oh and I forgot to mention.. they’ll be changing the graphics for October, November and December’s releases.

Ride’s other new entry to the park specific board market is the Machete. Featuring a 4000 sintered base and 85A Slimewalls, Cleave Edges and Lowrize rocker technology like the DH2. The differences include a standard biaxial glass, carbon stringers and an aspen and bamboo core - expect a more forgiving ride with dynamite pop!
