2012 Snowboard-Review Test Teaser

Every May the Snowboard-Review.com team head out to the Kaunertal Glacier, in Austria, to ride the following season’s snowboards. This year we managed to ride over forty of next season’s boards and put-together some really informative reviews which we’ll drop on the site in August. Here’s a short, but dramatic, teaser to wet your appetites.

The Snowboard-Review.com board test teaser 2012

This year’s team consisted of the irrepressible Mikee Cee from FBBB, Rich and Tom, and a new team member for this season Ally McMorland who spends his time working alongside Mikee for FBBB and shredding rails at indoor slopes around the UK. Due to the interest in online video reviews we decided to make all of our reviews ‘video reviews’ so although we managed to test fewer boards this season they’ve all been reviewed in short and concise video format. Obviously we’ll be reviewing more boards throughout the season and we’ll be uploading the usual information for as many boards from as many brands as we possibly can. Keep your eyes peeled for these online video reviews, which we plan to drop in August, and further articles about the test.

Francis you are nothing if not persistant.

Videos are almost all editied and I’m flying through the data entry for all of next years boards in any spare time I have. So visit back in 2 weeks and the majority of text and video reviews should be uploaded for you to view.

Hey I am a decent all mountain rider who knows the basics of the park but really wants to get good at jibs. I am thinking of the Ride Crush, K2 WWW, or Arbor Draft. Which would be best for really good presses and butters while not being terrible at small jumps and cruising the mountain?

Can’t wait for the reviews of the Lobster park and the Bataleon Disaster! Checking your site several times a day for updates, cause I promised myself to wait with my purchase until your vids are out, cause they are the best! Keep it up! Thanks!

hey rich from all the boards u rode wich one did u like the most?

Rich Ewbank on September 16, 2011  at  11:08 AM

Hey Mateo, of all of the boards I rode at the board test, my favourite for the riding we were doing was probably the Nitro Team Gullwing… on an overall basis because it was really light and lively and the base was sooo fast on soft spring snow. But I liked pretty much all of the boards I rode for different reasons. Tom’s favourite board was the Endeavor BOD and Mikee’s was the Lib Tech skate Banana. I also rode an Amplid Paradigma in February and I really enjoyed that too. What kind of riding are you into?

Hi Rich, at first I would like to thank you guys for doing such an awesome job. I have a dilema. I am 174 cm / 5´8´´ tall and 79 kg. This is my 11th session so I think I am pretty good however due to Law college I cant beat myself on kickers. Now I am looking for board great for buttering, carving and making ground tricks and 36 and 54 on piste. Btw: I am Burton fan..

I am selling my Burton TWC 154 which is camber and I though I could try V rocker ( Joystick ) or Springloaded ( Custom Flying V ).

Please would you help me with picking? I am not sure whether to make a big difference and go with Joystick ( 150? 154? ) or Custom Flying V ( 151? 154? ).

I just want something very playfull but it must handle me on icy slopes..because after 10 session I am starting to feel bored..

Thank a lot for your answer!
