YES Optimistic - 2011

/images/brands/yes/logo/yes_logo.gif

The Optimistic is DCP’s board in the YES range. DCP hits big jumps and does some pretty technical tricks and on the most part he does it out of the confines of the park in the backcountry. This year YES won their first Transworld Good Wood award with the Optimistic in the park snowboards category. If you’re an intermediate to expert snowboarder looking for a snowboard to rip in the park and the backcountry you may have hit the jackpot.

Manufacturer's Description:

Among Alfred Hitchcock movies is “North by North-west”. The main scene will remain Cary Grant running under the airplane gun shots. But another scene will be engraved in my memory forever: The actor, in a hotel room, scribbling with a pencil a paper pad, and making appear the address which was written on the previous page… What a blast! I had to try the “magic” right after the movie before going to bed… I was about six years old. I just love this tiny trick because it kind of reveals the secret, the key… And these days, YES, optimism is more than ever the message! And I named the artwork (or model) “Optimistic”, after the Radiohead song from the amazing KidA album. – Jeff, Graphic Designer, Snowboarding since 1992

Ok don’t listen to past me about the first two boards I got. Listen to me now. Easily the best board I’ve ever ridden. Took it to baker a few times…it destroyed POW, held on steeps, held steady in flats and on ice. It held strong in tree attacks and I could keep going but you should Stop reading and go get this board!
