If your skills aren’t the tightest on the hill the Blunt is a great option. Here’s an oxymoron for you, the Burton Blunt is the perfect snowboard for intermediate riders to take to the park and sharpen their freestyle skills. Soft biaxial glass, the famous Burton V-Rocker profile a negative core profile between the bindings and an easy to maintain extruded base provide all the goods you’ll need to learn.

Manufacturer's Description:

Spark up the park.

Back at it like a bad habit and boasting some seriously award-winning street cred, the Blunt™ is all about park progression at liquidation prices. Giving up-and-comers the ultimate upper hand, it features the trick-landing combo of V-Rocker™ and Cruise Control™ with the added pop of new Jumper Cables. Effortless to ride, thanks to its rocker design, and with edges that are turned up and de-tuned, the Blunt is easy to shred and virtually impossible to catch an edge on.

I love Burtons Blunt! I feel like the same person is repeating his complaint just to be taken seriously, and OMG Bobby may never go Burton again… What will they do… Come on people every manufacturer has defect boards, period. Burton warranty also covers these boards, due to any defects. A proper waxing shouldn’t effect the base of any board, if done correctly. This board and me have done almost 45 runs this year, from peak to park and it’s forgiving nature and buttery greatness, for around 300$. Can’t beat it. Love this board, and I’m sorry to see all the negative nonsense. And piperpier I know this isn’t cool (hcsued)

Well I am only one person and I wrote only one negative review of this board.

Let me provide an update. Burton did replace my defective Blunt 155 with a brand new one. But I had to go to Burton store that promptly sent it to the Burton VT headquarters and I had my board back in ten days. But note those 10 days were during February and during the peak season. I think Burton should have a policy of allowing their store managers to completely replace boards if they see an obvious manufacturing defect.

I do not consider Burton’s warranty or customer service to be top-notch. But at least they do keep their warranty promises and that counts for something.

I never bought this board but I bought last years blunt BIG mistake see I fell In love with the board from the moment I saw it So I got it on sale at the end of last season so I didn’t get to ride it at all Tell this season it performed great until after the 16th ride the base of The nose started delaming so I took it back today and got a full refund cause They stopes making them so I guess it’s not that big of a deal except If I would have waited tell the 19th I wouldnt have been covered. So these boards DO have huge delam problems but as for the stickers coming off That couldn’t happen cause they don’t use stickers they silk screen it with ink But even if it was stickers it still wouldn’t come off cause all the designs are under the P-Tex base so it would have to go thru the base to come off Witch would be impossible unless Your board already did the worst delam ever from the factory and had no base so in my honest opinion Save up an extra 150 bucks and by the new hero like I did or if not just a better quality board cause you WILL have lamination problems eventually

how does the burton blunt handle on boxes/jibs? i got a sweet deal on it at the end of this season and im already having second thoughts on taking it back based on the constant negative reviews its getting. im more of a park fellow… is this board for me?

My replacement board is working well without any issues. But I have used it for only about 5 snowboarding days.

This board is GREAT for parks. The main downside is that it is somewhat on the heavy side, but it is also sturdier than the cheaper models (except for the base apparently). I have noticed that my replacement board is MUCH FASTER. I pretty much outrun everyone I know with my Blunt.

I have been looking at this board for awhile to get before this rideing season. But as i come to this sight i see some good comments, on the other hand i see alot of bad comments on this board. So is this board truly that bad, should i look at something else? right now i have the clash which is a cambrian and pretty stiff. i want to try a v-rocker for the flex and some good things i have heard. But now takeing into consideration for not buying this becuase if i do not buy it from burton will i still get the warrenty if i do have problems?

Is the blunt good on just going down the hills?

Rich Ewbank on December 14, 2011 at 10:03 AM

For cruising about, hitting the odd jump off the side of the groomers and dipping your foot in a bit of pow once in a while it’s a good choice. For high speed charging… not so hot.

I’ve had this board out on the hills about 10 days now and I love it. It is such a fun board to mess around with. I have had no problems with this board at all. Keep your board away from the idiots in the lift line and your topsheet won’t get scratched or chipped. That solved that problem and I haven’t had issues with tthe base either. I think it’s a great buy for anybody especially when I bought it new for $140. Can beat the performance and tech for that price.
