If your skills aren’t the tightest on the hill the Blunt is a great option. Here’s an oxymoron for you, the Burton Blunt is the perfect snowboard for intermediate riders to take to the park and sharpen their freestyle skills. Soft biaxial glass, the famous Burton V-Rocker profile a negative core profile between the bindings and an easy to maintain extruded base provide all the goods you’ll need to learn.

Manufacturer's Description:

Spark up the park.

Back at it like a bad habit and boasting some seriously award-winning street cred, the Blunt™ is all about park progression at liquidation prices. Giving up-and-comers the ultimate upper hand, it features the trick-landing combo of V-Rocker™ and Cruise Control™ with the added pop of new Jumper Cables. Effortless to ride, thanks to its rocker design, and with edges that are turned up and de-tuned, the Blunt is easy to shred and virtually impossible to catch an edge on.

What colour is powder?

Haha don’t get this. The letters saying “BURTON” on the bottom layer are all different pieces. So the chance of a letter ripping off is likely. Trust me - I just got it and within two hours of using it AFTER It was hot waxed, 3 of the letters peeled off and I was stuck at the resort for a while.

Alright, I know that some boards don’t turn out to be perfect and have little defects, but I repeat, DO NOT GET THIS BOARD. I rode it once at Vermont and out of no where, the top part of the board began to delaminate and I have many chips in it. it’s a waste of your money. I’m returning it today. also they told me not to hot wax it because of what will happen to the letters on the bottom. Bad choice in board. 0 out of 5 stars.

Best Snowboard I have ever ridden!!!  It is impossible to catch an edge on and it is super fast!  Really forgiving on hard landings!  I could not be happier with this purchase.

Not sure what all this bs is about hot waxing and peeling off the letters on the bottom.  The board looks sick and rides amazing!  If you are even remotely considering this board for your next purchase, do yourself a favor and get it now!

It ain’t BS just because it did not happen to you. It’s not like Burton are going to try and scam anyone and not make good to the guy if it turned out he didn;t heat it up to 1000 degrees, but calling out someone’s bad experience as BS because you don’t have a problem is not cool.

Base issues aside I am sure it’s a sick board.

i’ve taken this board out 4 times and so far im pretty happy with it. hot waxed it no letters peeled off so maybe yours had a manufacturer defect? All in all a great board hard to catch an edge soft landings good control looks sick.

I’ve rode the board a few times, never have I had a problem with the edges tearing up, also I’ve hot waxed and the letters do not come off. If this happened I’m sure it was a manufacturer defect. Very good stability for a V Rocker, super light and fun to ride. Edge never catches, surprisingly good carve for a V Rocker (keeping I went with a little larger board for more stability). Overall very satisfied! 5/5 Best board yet. Same board as last year with the exception of added jumper cables for more pop (Won Good Wood Award 2010).

Just got the board and love it!!! I had a ride fleetwood, which isn’t a true twin nor cambered.. Wish I didn’t get it but was told what I needed to hear to buy it.. My blunt on otherhand, is allowing me to kill presses and learning butters fast, so I’m happy w it and will recommend. I did get a small chip board on first trip but nothing big and coulda not happened on mountain, I dont have a board bag.. I am 6’5 220 and size 12, got the 156w, I like it short easier to move around..and the more like a skateboard the better!!  I have since getting swindled on first board been looking at tech of companies and there’s boards and am interested n new capita horrorscope with flat kick camber, looks cool.

PLEASE DO NOT GET THIS BOARD. I made a mistake of ignoring of some posts here that the base of the board comes off. That was a BIG mistake because the base of my 2011 Burton Blunt 155 began to fall apart after standard hot-waxing by a professional shop.

One repairman told me the manufacturing of this board was “complete crap” and several others told me the base should NEVER come off as it did.

The main problem seem to be the glue that holds the base together. The glue simply doesn’t last.

Please STAY AWAY from this board.

This board has been great, 15 times so far this season in Summit Co.  I have the 162w and love it.  I’ve got the board waxed once with a hot iron and twice belt waxed and no problems.  Riding both directions the board has a lot of responsiveness. Some of the colors are fading faster than expected but would recommend this board to everyone…

Bobby on February 28, 2011 at 08:40 PM

After two days of riding the bottom of this board is falling apart, and I never ever got a hot wax.  The V-Rocker is nice for landing jumps, but doesn’t gain enough speed for most larger jumps.  All in all, this board is a piece of crap.  I’m taking it back today and I’m not sure if I’ll ever buy a Burton board again.
