Like a Phoenix from the ashes of Clyde Snowboards comes yDoc Snowboards. Owner Cody Nernberg had been working on yDoc with Clyde owner Jason Broz since 2007, when Jason decided to sell up; Cody jumped at the opportunity and now has big ambitions for yDoc and his new factory. The Prestige is yDoc’s flagship freestyle snowboard, the triaxial glass, vibration dampening system and diecut sintered base are what you’ve come to expect from any manufacturer these days, it’s the quality bamboo topsheet with classy laser etched design and the fact that each board is lovingly assembled by Cody and his team that makes the yDoc Prestige live up to its name.

yDoc Serenity - 2011

The Serenity is yDoc’s offering to female freestylers. Thanks to the biaxial glass the Serenity has a medium/soft flex, a twin shape and a centred stance so ladies can take the Serenity to the park to nail their first airs. Take the Serenity out of the park and the Sintered base will have speeding over the flat sections while the vibration dampening system will stop the nose and tail chattering like 90 year old dentures on those scarily fast straight lines everybody enjoys once in a while.

Is a snowboard brands board line-up complete without a rocker/ reverse camber model these days? Don’t fear yDoc haven’t forgotten to add a buttery rockered freestyle fun stick to their range, theirs is called the Eccentric and if you’re into the Japanese styled Koi Carp graphic but you don’t want be riding a noodle the Eccentric is worth a look.

Sister to the Prestige the yDoc Vitalic benefits from the classic bamboo finish and quality materials of its handsome brother, but to make the Vitalic more manageable for the fairer sex it has biaxial glass and a softer flex pattern. A snowboard for strong and experienced all mountain snowboarders.

yDoc Inertia - 2011

The Inertia fits the needs of freestyle snowboarders who like a board with a medium flex and need their board to perform in all aspects of freestyle riding be it the park, pipe or powder kickers. yDoc have kept the waist of the Inertia relatively narrow and the sidecut reasonably tight, adding the carbon stringers is bound to have created a lively and responsive freestyle snowboard.
