Christmas Top 50 Snowboard Hits

It’s been a while since Christmas, long gone are the days of careless and sometime senseless feasting replaced with sporadic dieting and the frugality of January. In the run-up to Christmas Snowboard-Review.com is a busy hive of consumers scanning through our pages to find out as much as they can about the boards on their dream stick shortlist. This gives us a unique opportunity to see which snowboards are pushing your buttons. Below is the list of the 50 most popular boards in the two month run-up to Christmas.

Obviously Burton makes a big appearance taking the number one spot with their Flying V take on the legendary Custom, the mighty Custom X takes its rightful place in the top 10 boards and new boards the Sherlock and Process Flying V prove that Burton really does have the Golden touch. Lib Tech pick up second place with the Skate Banana a true marketing phenomenon and Travis Rice proves that throwing himself off step-downs the size of a block of flats helps to sell boards as his pro model makes an appearance at number six.

Never Summer are having a great year with their RC technology literally flying off the shelves and the EVO and SL make it into the Christmas top 20, Nitro’s take on a profile with rocker between the feet and camber at the tips is also immensely popular making an appearance at number 12. K2 proves that it is hot on the heels of the Big B with seven boards in the top 50, with boards like the Fastplant and Turbo Dream in their line it’s no surprise. Mr Jones and the YES crew are doing a good job of selling Nidecker’s wears; in his first season Jeremy scored a number seven placement with the incredible Flagship and number 20 with the Mountain Twin. It seems the hype halo surrounding YES is beaming a little less bright in 2010, from number one in 2009 their highest placing board the Optimist limps in at 47.

Arbor and Rossignol made an appearance in the top 20 boards with the Element RX and One Magtek, two fantastic all mountain snowboards and Capita and Forum prove they’re still hip with the kids with their reverse camber boards attracting lots of hits on the site. Bataleon’s Triple Base Technology continues to build its fan base and the Evil Twin and Goliath narrowly missed out on top 20 places. The Grip continues to prove itself the hottest tastiest cake in the Salomon bakery, we were a little bemused that the Salomonder didn’t show its ugly scaly lizard head in the top 50 after all the interest it’s had in the media.

Snowboarder Magazines number one and two best of test boards last year the Rossignol Angus and Ride Machete are still at loggerheads placing at number 28 and 29 respectively. DC’s Tone and PBJ Aaron Biittner Pro are hot property on this site and get mid table placing for their efforts. Finally the Carbon Credit Series BTX and Hatchet pull Gnu and Atomic into the top 50 list by the skin of their teeth.
