A matter of meters on the Turbo Dream and I felt comfortable, two runs later and I was happy to be hitting the Travis Rice butter pad and the bigger kicker line. It’s not often that you strap onto a snowboard that you’ve never ridden before and feel as at ease or more at ease than on your daily shred! Off jumps the K2 Turbo Dream felt unbelievably stable the rocker profile eliminating any unwanted twitchiness on the run-in and providing ample pop and effortless spin initiation. Despite being slightly more directional than other boards in the range switch riding was a pleasure, and the rocker profile really helped to make cab spins buttery smooth. Light in the air and forgiving landings what more could you want from a freestyle snowboard? How about great edge hold through the flat bottom and icy shaded wall of the Kaunertal Superpipe; apart from the Amplid Hi-Def, Atomic Alibi and K2 Zero, I don’t think I rode a snowboard as fluid through the pipe transitions and as fun and controlled out of the top; and they’ve been designed with Pipe riding in mind.
All this performance in the Park and Pipe, but the Turbo Dream has been made for riding backcountry kickers and for charging around powder bowls and tight trees! On the hard morning pistes the Turbo Dream dealt with short and long carves easily, in powder the TD felt cruise-y at high speeds and extremely agile at slower speed, much like the Endeavor Next Series. Although I didn’t hit any sculpted backcountry kickers, I did pop off some natural transitions; the rocker profile helped eliminate the sketchiness you get from riding tight transitions on a cambered snowboard, and run-ins on choppy spring crud were damp and chatter free.
The Turbo Dream is an extremely capable snowboard for riding all types of terrain, snow conditions and transitions. If you’re a relatively experienced snowboarder looking for an all mountain snowboard to ride all season long, you may just have found this season’s ride.

not looking for a jib-specific board, but if I wanted to lay some steez on my occasional box presses how would this board handle it?

You’d have no probs on the odd box. Smooth deck!

Do you think I could ride the Turbo Dream 161(25.1 waist) with a size 11 foot? How did the TD float in pow?

what’s your height/weight rich? I’m 5’9 75kg and thinking of riding a 156… dunno if I should get the 159 or not. thanks for all the help!

Ok to answer both questions:
A US11 is a UK10 foot size, I think a 25.1 cm waist is going to be too narrow, unless you’ve got a euro stance! I’d look at something mid-wide, I rode the Lib Tech Lando 157mW that’s a similar type board, rockered between the feet but a bit of extra width for you’re lumps of meat (nice bit of cockney rhyming slang for you).
My stats are almost exactly the same as your’s Rally, 77kg, 5’9” and size 9US feet. I found the 159 perfect, it certainly didn’t feel combersome and difficult to manouver. Unfortunately I didn’t get to ride the TD in powder but I rode it in summer corn and the rocker profile keeps that nose up regardless of how fast you’re going. The 56 will probably be fine.

k thanks, I just looked up Wille’s stats; they’re the same as mine and he rides a 159 so I think I’ll take his advice and go with that as well. Honestly I think 159 would be better with the rocker than 156. Pow runs all season. I’m pumped.
btw spencer I have a size 10US boot, my current board is 24.8 cm wide and that’s about perfect for me, no drag at all. funny how this waist width falls directly between the 156 TD and the 159 (24.7 and 24.9 respectively). the TD also comes in wide versions. Man I can’t wait to hit the slopes!

Im 13, 130 pounds, and 5 foot 10 with a boot size of 13 and i got the 161cm and this board is great i love it, it rides great on terrain and on just free riding.

Hey I rode the 159 at a few indoor tracks in the Netherlands. (i’m 166 pounds and 6 feet). This board is fast, stable and agile. Riding switch (i’m riding duck stance)was no problem at all. If you’ve never rode a reverse camber before you’ll be searching your correct posture for the first few runs tough. But you’ll pick it up quickly. The reverse camber actually feels shorter than my old 157.
Great Board!
