Rossignol Templar MagTek - 2013

Since it got the AmpTek treatment two season ago, the Rossignol One MagTek has been cleaning up on the awards front and the reviews from the general public have been equally as positive. Despite becoming considerably softer and more versatile thanks to its hybrid AmpTek camber, the average snowboarder who gets less than a couple of weeks on snow has been skeptical about taking the plunge. Enter the Rossi Templar MagTek a toned down version of the One with less aggressive 5S Magne-Traction for more grip than a traditional snowboard edge but without the occasionally unpredictable bite of 7 bump Magne-Traction. The flex has been softened but the popular directional shape remains. Intermediates or beginners with ambition who think the One might be a bit of handful have a knight in shining armor in the new Templar.

Manufacturer's Description:

The all-new Templar MagTek is an all-terrain crusader for the masses. Blending the One MagTek’s versatility and Taipan’s user-friendliness, the Templar is a directional twin with an award-winning heritage. AmpTek All-Mountain rocker and new Magne-Traction 5S edges combine to deliver effortless float, explosive pop, powerful edge grip and an easy, playful feel that calls for other boards to be burned at the stake. The all-new Templar MagTek is the holy grail for all-mountain missions.

I rode this board on Thanksgiving, the second day of the opening of Crystal Mt. I am 5’ 8” and weigh 140lbs, rode a 156cm at a goofy 15’ and 10’ stance.

Great overall feel and control in all conditions! Awesome is an under statement… I would suggest this board to any rider that needs an “All Conditions” solid board.

10 out of 10!
