Fooj is an art project Jake OE started in the summer of 2016, when he interned at the Signal office. That summer, he learned design and how to take his artwork and ideas from paper to a final form- a snowboard.
“My whole life I’ve been fascinated in drawing faces. They become little puzzles to figure out how ridiculous a piece of art can look yet still represent a face. When I show people my drawings they see a face different then I do and thats what I find so fascinating.” - Jake OE
Designed by Jake for the city streets and snowboard parks by packing extra centimeters into the contact length but keeping a shorter overall length. The steep nose and tail profiles are built to enhance tricks that have evolved in streets. The Fooj medium flex for presses at high speed, and a radial side-cut and centered stance for more progressive snowboarding.
