Manufacturer's Description:

Board comes with tip/tail clips and Chinese hooks. All other splitboard hardware is available on our accessories page.

The Backcountry Split (BC Split) has been refined over the years but is the original Freeride shape designed by Chris Prior in the early 90’s; the BC Split is a classic example of a true, all mountain shape that maintains its role in the line as the workhorse of the fleet.  Its directional Freeride shape delivers a smooth, stable ride in a variety of different snow conditions and the Hybrid Rocker Profile only adds to its versatility;  rocker in the nose and tail for turn initiation and float while maintaining traditional camber underfoot for added stability, rebound and edgehold. With minimal taper, the BC Split provides both power and drive on edge while allowing the playful rider to land or ride switch.

XTC Carbon Construction is available as an upgrade to all Prior splitboards and saves an average of 500 grams (1lb 1oz) off a Prior splitboard pressed with our standard quadraxial fiberglass.

Profile: Hybrid Rocker Profile provides floatation and predictability in powder and silky smooth transitions edge-to-edge with excellent edge control. 2-4 mm of traditional camber underfoot provides energy from turn-to-turn.

Rider Type: Self propelled backcountry freeriders, guides, explorers and multi day trekkers whose styles are geared towards big treks, fall line speed and large arcing turns.

Best For: Fall-line speed, powder, crud, hardpack, crust, all winter snowpacks.
