A toned down version of the ferocious Undisputed. The Bataleon Omni is a freeride snowboard designed for intermediate snowboarders who want to shred powder and groomers and throw the odd trick into the mix or for Advanced riders who like the idea of Triple Base Tech but don’t want to ride with the aggressive style and pure concentration that the Undisputed demands.
This board loves whatever you throw at it. With a set back stance, freeride shape, and perfect flex this board is for those who love cruising around the hill. Pow slash, check. Park jump, check. Tree runs, check. That cliff on the backside… you get the idea. Cambered pop and TBT float, forgiveness, lightning edge to edge and ultra responsiveness, TBT once again making it happen. Ride everything with confidence all the time everytime.

I bought this board for this season and was excited to see what Bataleon’s TBT had to offer. Japan’s season was a slow burner in December then right before Christmas, JaPOW!!! It has barely stopped puking yet!! I got the 163 and was looking for a good powder performer. The first time I took it out it was ace on groomers, edge to edge transitions were silky smooth and lightening fast. However when running flat, the back end gets a bit squirrelly and likes to move about a bit….this takes a bit getting used to. Some Hydroplane action is easy to get into!! That first day I was surprised at the depth and softness of the powder and I had my bindings centred. big mistake, the nose was taking dive after dive and I was burning the hell outta my back leg just to keep afloat. 2nd time I had the bindings all the way back and it was definitely a help BUT I just can’t seem to get the nose to wanna stay out of the pow….......I’m a little disappointed TBH as my old Burton Custom 161 was a charger through the pow and trees last season, i dunno if I’m riding it funny this year but I’m just now convinced that this is gonna cut it in the pow….next installment is on Thursday in the super light Niigata Japow, hopefully its just getting used to some weird riding action because of the TBT….......or something! :D
