DC HKD Devon Walsh - 2010

/images/brands/dc/logo/dc_logo.gif

Mr Devon Walsh loves taking his sled into Whistler’s backcountry and firing himself off insanely big kickers into 50 degree powder landings. A board has got to be made tougher than a rhino’s hide to take that kind of abuse. The HKD Devon Walsh has been designed for snowboarders who don’t want to have to change board if the snowconditions change or the park is snowed under, a burly all-mountain freestyle snowboard designed for experienced and aggressive riders.

Manufacturer's Description:

“The Grass is Greener!”- For Devon’s pro model snowboard, we took all the teck featured in the HKD board series and updated it with a tight graphic package plus a Sintered Supreme Optic Base so you can clearly see Dev’s graphics. Take the 153 out for a park lap, and drop into the halfpipe or some deeper snow on the 158.

HI! I’m thinking to buy this board but I still have two questions. The first is that if is this good on rail and jibs, obviously it isn’t his things but I meant can I do something really simple? not too difficult because i prefer somethingelse(jumps and pow =) ). And for some jibs or flat tricks how is it?

The second question is if i have hail burton boots in 10.5 size, and as soon as possible I’ll buy a decade sl from northwave and i know that of this I need a 28,5 size, do you think that my feet gonna stay in it? I use a nxt-at flow bindings in L size if you need this information too.

Thank you a lot for an answer.

Bye for now.

The HKD Devun isn’t really made for rails as you’ve said you already know. Like all boards you can still throw down the odd boardslide and 5-0 just don’t expect to be doing crazy butters, presses and drop-chop combinations. The waist of the HKD is quite narrow, your feet would be better suited to a board with a waist of 25.5-26.0 cm but I’m sure it won’t be too much of a problem.

mh so I have to forgive also some presses or some noseprsse 180 and so on right?

I’m thinkg if I’ll not buy this board to a salomon answer 2010 in 159 size or an mlf 161 still 2010 or a yes the basic 158.

Thinking that I’ll use it for 40% pow and kickers in or not in the park,35% groomers and jib along them(something like presse little jumps and so on…)and 15%rails and boxes…what do you suggest to me?

Oh..I’m tall 1.90 and my weight is 75 kg without clothes…

Thank you for your help.

Bye
