Rome Headline - 2010

/images/brands/rome/logo/rome_logo.gif

The Headline is a directional all-mountain ride for progressive intermediate snowboarders. In the Ride Control and K2 Podium vein of snowboard (the mid-priced directional, ride everything snowboard), the Rome Headline is a great find. With a comprehensive spec and plenty of performance to support your growing ability you won’t find a better priced board in this under-supplied board genre.

Snowboard Review:

You’ve been riding for a couple of years. You go on holiday for a couple of weeks a year. Your days riding consists of every type of riding there is; cruising the pistes with your mates in the morning, darting in and out of the powder stashes you’ve found and hitting the odd park kicker, halfpipe or box in the terrain park in the afternoon. Now you’ve got the perfect board for your adventures. The directional shape and medium torsional and longitudinal flex of the Rome Headline make it perfect for taking on everything the mountain can throw at you. I found the Headline to be extremely dependable when carving if a little slow edge to edge. I would advise that when purchasing the Headline if there isn’t a length available in your usual choice, choose the shorter of the available lengths surrounding your usual choice as I found the 160 to be built for a heavier rider than myself.

Rome supplied me with this under the warranty as a replacement for my 2008 rome solution 160 that had a defect. I love how the board rides. It really is an all round board. I find the width of the 160 perfect as i have size 11 boots. It carves beautifully the camber of the board really helps you to pop out of turns, more so it seems than with the solution. It is great over kickers as well, it seems quite light for a large board. I am incredibly happy with it and cannot fault rome for thier customer service. I’m looking forward to spending a lot more time on it.

Good for what it says, park, freeride, pipe, and perfect for riding regular though awful goofy. Mine is too big though so i cant carve on it very well.
