Amplid Morning Glory - 2014

/images/brands/amplid/logo/amplid_logo.gif

New to the Amplid line this season, The Morning Glory is an aggressive powder charging machine. S Rocker puts camber from the tail to the front foot for maximum pop and control at high speeds and in the choppy hard pack, along with rocker in the nose for maximum float on bottomless powder days. A HEXO2 Core reduces overall board weight by taking out pieces of wood core, and replacing it with feather-light recycled paper honeycomb. Don’t get stuck on flat run outs in the powder with the Sintered GE 7.2 Die Cut Base which helps reduce friction on the snow, creating the fastest ride possible. Cut out on high speed board chatter with the Magma Edge Shock Absorber. The Morning Glory will take you on a powder slaying mission all day, everyday.

Manufacturer's Description:

The Morning Glory’s Jekyll and Hyde Geometry enables Amplid to squeeze the floatation of a conventional 175cm snowboard into a board a whole 12cm shorter.
Generous nose dimensions and a very gradual early rise from the front foot allow powder to be ridden with heavy front foot turn initiation, bringing snowboarding closer to the sensation of surfing. A stubby swallow tail with positive camber under the back foot grips on icy chutes, sticks backseat landings and throws epic powder clouds into the atmosphere. The Morning Glory’s centred stance permits controlled riding on hard-pack and windblown snow conditions.
Hexo2 core technology and Hex Mat laminates strip unwanted weight from the Morning Glory for increased reactiveness in tight terrain and Amplid’s premium Sintered GE 7.2 Lightspeed base offers unmatched glide.
Remember to set your alarm; the good stuff is reserved for the early risers.
