The first thing to mention is that APO rate the flex on the APO MTD Dual Rocker as a 6/10, we’d rate it as 3/10, this board is soft. A mellow sidecut ensures easy turn initiation and a cruisy feel, biaxial glass is paired with V-shaped carbon reinforcement in the tips for a soft feel with pop and powder inserts have been added to the insert pattern to improve float on deep days. Dual Rocker is reverse camber between the feet and camber at the tips.

Snowboard Review:
The Apo MTD is definitely my favorite type of board, it was soft enough to be fun throughout the entire park but still stiff enough to blast around the rest of the mountain. If you’re not sure whether you want to spend your hard earned cash on a freeride or freestyle board and you can only afford one, an all mountain board should be what you look to get and the shape of the MTD gives you that versatility.
Personally I’m not a fan of rocker unless it’s in the pow but the MTD’s Dual Rocker profile helped ease those pains. If you look at the board from side on you will see the rocker runs between the feet, this helps give it float as well as reduce edge catching. Underneath the feet the board is cambered and this gives the board precision through carves and helps make it more responsive. Dual Rocker also makes the MTD incredibly easy to press and pop.
The MTD benefits from a sintered base and is also extremely lightweight meaning it is super fun to huck about on and doesn’t need long run-ins for rails. In the park the MTD held its own; the V Pop rods not only helped increase its response but also gave the board tons of additional pop. There weren’t too many bad points to this board but I’m easy to please, that said the MTD was softer than I was expecting, the flex is definitely more freestyle focused but the shape is more all-mountain so be prepared for a soft flex. When I was riding the pipe I found the MTD lacked the stiffness to hold a really strong line and I experienced some annoying chatter, so expert riders be aware that if you are a snowboarder who likes to pump a board hard and work it through the sidecut the MTD might be a little lacking.
All in, this is a good board and I’d be happy with it for a season. It is definitely aimed at the intermediate rider, but it’s soft enough to satisfy beginners. Overall the APO MTD Dual Rocker is an able all-round board that would suit a park and pow cruiser over somebody that likes to ride their snowboard aggressively.

I’m a All Mountain Rider. I only Take some Boxes and Jumps, if there is a Park on the Way. I dont like rails. But it is all possible with this nice Board!
