If you’re thinking about picking up a Rossignol Experience this season but you’re not getting to ride more than 20 days a year you’d probably be better with the new Krypto MagTek. The Krypto still uses the refined shape and profile of the Experience, it still has the long Magne-Traction sidecut and carbon and Kevlar reinforcement too, it just loses the stiff Torsion Box construction to make it more manageable for people without pistons for legs.
Maybe sometimes you need a break from 40° pitches and 4ft of fresh pow in AK and just want to ride all day like a mere mortal. Or maybe some days you just want to cruise around at 14° pitches and 14in of packed pow at your home mountain. With this in mind we introduce the Krypto MagTek. Grown from the same seed as the Experience MagTek, the Krypto MagTek’s balanced, forgiving flex and full wood core goes down smooth every time you hit it.

Has anyone tested this board yet? Interesting option to the Experience, less extreme and probably better overall if you don’t just drop off cliffs Xavier style…

i rode this board for a week at breck in early january. sadly the snow wasn’t great-no pow or off-piste on this trip; but the board was fantastic! really quick and easy to turn, excellent edge-hold, even when encountering the unexpected icy patch. very fun board to ride. fast and sure footed. i felt more confident and got less tired riding this board than i had on my old cambered board. i can’t wait to go back in march and try it in some deeper stuff.

It sounds good, I’ve ordered one and can’t wait to try it! I just hope I can fit my standard Burton bindings in it…
