Imperium City Series RC - 2012

If there was one graphic that was being talked about at ISPO this year, it was the City Series. Yann Dechatrette has done a stunning job of bringing together three iconic city landmarks with classic skateboard style graphics typical of the late 90s and early 00s and bold fonts that bring the design together. On the actual snowboard side of things, the City Series combines a lively, damp and durable WDT (wood composite) core with a jib rocker profile with a nice flat section between the bindings and a rail friendly extruded base.

Manufacturer's Description:

The “City Series” are reverse Camber boards, in this case also a pure V-rocker. This board is really made to go from the streets to the mountains. The WDT construction helps you to stick every trick on the rail, the flexes are soft and easy-forgiving. The extruded base helps you to get speed anywhere. On powder days you can still take this baby out for a ride, the camber’s profile helps you floating around and the ticker edges gives you more control to handle rails and jibs. This first generation of city boards pays homage to NY, PARIS and RIO.
