Hey - so I’m looking for a true twin that is good in the powder, but also has some spring for hitting kickers along the way or a little park action (though im not hanging out in the park too much) I really like the YES boards, but no female ones :( Basically I require a true twin for riding switch and I would like to have the camrock-type shape. Was looking at the Rome LoFi (a big difference from the LoFi Rocker?) and the Ride OMG boards… Which one would you reccommend? They seem springy enough, but I need the board to be good for powder as well. I only see average on the reviews, but is that normal for a multipurpose board? Obviously its not going to be AS good as a true powder board. Is there another board that I’m missing that could be better?

Help a girl out

Sure there are loads of boards out there that you need to check out, that fit your description. So when you say you want a board with the Camrock profile that YES uses that would be camber between the feet and rocker at the nose and tail. I’m riding a Rossi Angus for my everyday board at the minute, it’s fun in the park and it floats better than a cambered board it’s size in powder, it has a very light bouncy feel in the deep stuff.

I’d check out the following boards that all use a profile similar to camrock:

Nidecker Divine - Nidecker manufacture YES boards, this board is pretty much the YES Typo for ladies.

Rossignol Justice - Two times Transworld Good Wood Winner, if it rides as good as my Rossi Angus then you’ll love it.

Atomic Fallen Angel - Basically the women’s version of the infamous Atomic Hatchet. It uses a hybrid camber that when loaded causes the tips to rise making it float better in powder and feel a little bit more buttery.

Rome Blue - This is the directional more freeride orientated (I say that I mean less freestyle… more all mountain option) With Carbon and Kevlar reinforcement and a hybrid camber that resembles Atomic’s pop rocker, this board will work in the pow and put you in good stead for some big jumps too. The more advanced board in the list.

I hope those options help.

Hey Rich I’d like to re open this thread about the rome lo fi rocker please.  I was wondering if yu knew if it’d be a good park board for someone who’s just really getting into the park.  I can do 180s and front/back boardslides but it kinda stops there.  I’ve onl really been riding a burton hero smalls int he park and I was wondering if I woul find boxes/rails etc much harder on the lo fi rocker?  ALso at 5ft would I be better getting the 140 lo fi or 143 lo fi rocker? I would rather have rocker but worried it’d be too long for learning new tricks! Thanks alot!
