It’s quickly coming around to the time of year when the nights start becoming annoyingly long, the temperature starts dropping through the floor and just about everybody catches their first cold of the winter season, which means only one thing… the London Freeze festival is around the corner. If you live in the UK and you haven’t got anything planned for the weekend of the 28th and 29th of October get yourself and some friends down to Battersea to see more double flips than a Dutch pancake restaurant and fill yourself with gallons of luminous energy drink which should keep you up all night and then conveniently wear off just as the tube you’re sat on pulls into your station.

Relentless Energy Drink Freeze is the UK’s only ski, snow and music festival. Taking place on 28th – 29th October 2011 at the iconic Battersea Power Station, Freeze is the ultimate aprés ski party!
The specially constructed 32 metre high jump, complete with 500 tonnes of real snow, will see last year’s Ski Big Air winner Jacob Wester and FIS Snowboard World Cup winner Marko Grilc both return to defend their 2010 titles while facing competition from some of the world’s best athletes – including skiers Colby West, Gus Kenworthy and John Spriggs, and snowboarders Seppe Smits, Arthur Longo and Urlich Badertscher. Nowhere in the UK will you see this level of riding!
Music at this year’s event comes from headliners The Streets, in what is likely to be their last ever London performance, and Groove Armada present Red Light. Also playing are Everything Everything, Zane Lowe, Rizzle Kicks, Pulled Apart By Horses, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Dirtyphonics, Modestep and loads more.
This year also sees the biggest ever retail village where you can buy all your winter needs under one roof - the perfect opportunity to get your hands on the first of the new season stock or pick up some past season bargains! On top of shopping there will be six bars, an indoor cinema with ski and snowboard premieres, live art installations and a range of interactive games! This is one aprés ski party you cannot miss!
Tickets are available from www.thefreezefestival.com with prices starting from £37 (+ booking fee).
