Contract Snowboards launch unique team rider program

Polish uber brand Contract Snowboards launch the Support Young Shredders program to help promising young riders reach their potential.

Today snowboard review received a curious email from our friends at Contract Snowboards, one of the most exciting brands to come out of Poland since…. well ever if I’m honest. As a brand in it’s infancy, Contract have decided to throw a bone to young and aspiring shredders by creating the ‘Support Young Shredders’ program.

The SYS crew take a breather during the Kaunertal Opening

So what’s the idea behind the SYS program I hear you ask, I asked head of marketing at Contract, Magic Waclawczyk to get to the bottom of it,” I think it’s better to support young and talented shredders than it is to pay billions of Euros to one ‘star’. Besides, it allows us to show our boards on the slopes and in the parks so people see the brand and ask about it.” Contract Snowboards have recently signed seven talented young riders to the SYS program who will be representing the brand alongside the established ‘Contract Killers’ (pun intentional) which currently include Polish rippers Jalub ‘Kamal’ Honcz and Diana Sadlowski, and Finish assassin Martin Kalliola. The chosen seven are starting to get some serious recognition with the help of Contract and with news filtering through to us of loose canon antics by a certain Adam Myszkowski at the infamous Kaunertal Opening to the props of other riders in the park it appears Contracts unique approach to sponsorship is already paying dividends. You can bet your bottom dollar that Contract the brand and the SYS crew will be getting a lot more exposure over the next season.

Word on the street is that Contract aren’t sticking with just seven riders, they’re looking to expand the program, and the wheels are in motion to recruit more riders from further afield… so keep an eye on the site and we’ll keep you posted!

Cool thing Contract, I love the idea and it seems as if the outworking is at least as good.

Excited to see where Contract will be in some time!

Yeah pretty cool to observe a brand from conception! I honestly think they’ll be a Europe wide brand in the next couple of years, hopefully doing some testing in Feb.. can’t wait to try the Snaketech edges!
