For all you freeriders out there here’s a bit of news concerning the 2011 Freeride World Tour, supported by Nissan and Swatch.
Due to the phenomenal success of last years series the World Tour has been extended from four events to six, and rightfully so. The World Tour will now include events at the world renowned resorts of St Moritz in Switzerland and Fieberbrunn in Austria, with the Tour finishing in mid-March on the infamous Bec Des Rosses in the Swiss resort of Verbier, home to freeriding legend Xavier De La Rue. If you haven’t already seen Xavier’s winning run from last year here’s another chance to see what a talented snowboarder Xavier is:
Although the Tour is centred around Europe there will be qualifying events in resorts around the World and for all you readers on the other side of the pond (Atlantic Ocean) the North Face Masters will be held at Kirkwood on 5 March. If you can find the opportunity to visit one of the following resorts to watch one of these events then you won’t be disappointed.
