The C55 Wide isn’t just a Contract C55 with a fatter waist. To help improve response and reduce the risk of catching an edge on landings and straight lining run-ins, Contract have loaded the C55 wide with T.R.I.P technology. Effectively T.R.I.P technology rises the contact points at the start and end of the effective edge, these are the parts of the edge that cause you to scorpion when you catch your toe edge. The C55 Wide offers all-mountain snowboarding for larger footed intermediate riders, minus the pain of catching edges.

Manufacturer's Description:

The C55 Wide gives you all the pleasures of the C55 in a wider length, meaning those with bigger feet can remain controlled and comfortable all over the mountain, whether you’re in the park or on the piste. The C55 Wide has the added bonus of T.R.I.P. technology, which means the Contract designers have lifted certain points of the board making it easy to turn, even at speed, and makes landings secure and safe, so you can push your riding as hard as it will go.
