The Hovercraft is an oddly shaped powder weapon designed for maximum flotation and edge hold whilst minimising running length. Famous for its short agile shape, stumpy slashy tail and unsinkable floatation the hovercraft is the ultimate powder board for those that like to blast between the trees where board response and slow speed float are the name of the game . The Hovercraft is available split this season.

Forest Shearer, Jonaven Moore and a load of up and comers have been putting time in on the Mountain Twin making sure it lives up to its name. The Jones Flagship is the go-to freeride gun for 6 times Big Mountain snowboarder of the year and Jeremy Jones and 2010/11 Freeride World Tour winner Austrian Mitch Toelderer. Mellow Magne-Traction provides critical edge hold when conditions are sketchy and the Camrock profile provides straight-line stability, agility in deep snow and fantastic float. The Flagship is a serious piece of Big Mountain hardware.

Despite having similar aesthetics to the Experience, Jeremy’s pro model at Rossignol, Jeremy is keen to stress that the Flagship is the evolution of his work at Rossignol, the next step. Blunted tips and tails reduce the effect of drag in fresh snow, directional Camrock helps cut down the risk of catching an edge and makes initiating turns at slower speeds a piece of pie. Convinced that full Magnetraction edges were too aggressive for smooth riding, Jeremy has pioneered Mellow Mag, providing the extra grip in the case of an emergency, Carbon & Kevlar reinforcement reduces chatter and provides the guts for stomping monster cliff drops. Jeremy is also the founder of the POW (Protect Our Winters) charity, you can rest assured a huge amount of time and effort have gone into creating a sustainable and green option for big mountain shredders, the Flagship leads by example in this department.

Looking for a snowboard that will float in chest deep powder, but need a short running length for agile tree line surfing and tight shute slashing? Built with the short running length of a 156 but the volume of a 178 the Jones Snowboards Hovercraft’s short swallow tail, blunted nose and directional Camrock profile make the Hovercraft practically unsinkable and glide like a Condor on the shallowest of gradients.

It’s a common belief amoung park kids that freeriders choose to tackle the burliest lines and biggest drops because they can’t cut it in the park. Sure Jeremy Jones might not be throwing-down double corks but he can ride jumps, the fact that our head of testing spotted Jeremy and Xavier de le Rue spinning off the pro line kickers in the Verbier snowboard park the day before the Verbier Extreme competition proves it! Jeremy signed big mountain freestyle nut job Jonaven Moore to his brand this winter, working together they’ve created a twin board which cuts it in the park, in the pipe, on the groomers and in the backcountry whilst reducing the boards negative impact on the environment. Is The Mountain Twin a rival to knock the mighty Burton Custom off it’s thrown?

Freeride legend Jeremy Jones found himself wanting to access terrain in areas inaccessible by helicopter and snowmobile. Tired of hiking with snowshoes and aware that split boards would allow speedy access to previously unridden mountains, Jeremy parted his ways with longtime sponsor Rossignol and started Jones Snowboards so he could create his own splitboard. The Solution crams all of the features from the Flagship into a splitboard, making it the first and only camrock splitboard with Magnetraction edges. Looking to ride more than just lift accessible backcountry but can’t afford the heli time, Jones Snowboards have the Solution!
