More scoops…  The One next year gets Amptek on top of Magnetraction!

Rossi is including Amptek on a rental fleet board!

Taipan is rated the same flex as the Angus (7/10) which I thought was strange.

This was smuggled by a local dealer that sneaked me a peak at the advanced catalogue.

Yeah loads of developments at Rossi.

It’s true the One gets Amptek and Mag edges… so does the JDub.

The Decoy and Retox get Amptek too… and there’s a new price point freestyle deck, the Trickstick.

The big news is that there are three types of Amptek. Freestyle which has more camber dept and length between the feet (Decoy and Retox) , All mountain which is like the current Amptek (JDub, Experience, One, Angus and taipan) and Autoturn which has a minute camber and tons of rocker for easy turning… as the name suggests (trickstick, rental and other lower end decks).

I’ve got some pics and info on the new gear from ISPO, hopefully I’ll be able to post it before I leave on hols.

If they manage to keep The One’s price point close to what it was this season at $400 CDN WITH Amptek I think I have my next season all mountain board. :)

Honestly I am really impressed with the price points from the major ski manufactures that make boards (Elan, Salomon, Rossi, K2)...  best values seem to come out of their fleets.

Economies of scale.. buy enough materials for skis and boards, run your own manufacturing operation and do your own marketing and you’ve cut out the middle man who wants a cut too. I think Rossi will be keeping their price point next season.. good times.
