Hi Guys

Standard rookie question - looking for a new board for a beginner/intermediate for this season, details below:

Height 7 foot 7 inches / 161cms
Weight ~90kgs / 198lbps

I have done a single holiday last year for 7 days,  loved it and progressed enough to be comfortable riding Reds, and a few blacks without to much drama by the end.  also have spent a bit of time at the local indoor snowdome, but not something i’m interested in worrying about in terms of purchasing decisions.

Obviously a bit early to be worrying about freestyle, but I think in the long run I’ll definitely be more interested in freeride anyway, so am looking for a freeride/all mountain board.

Currently riding a Nitro I inherited off of a friend, don’t have the name to hand, but i think its probably a 157, 0 camber, and appears to be made of cast iron…

Also worth noting ill be using Flow bindings initially at least, so I believe that means Burton Boards are out?

So far have come up with the short-list below - any comments/suggestions welcome!  Also, I am having a bit of debate over my board length due to my weight - 159/160 seems about right?

Endevour high 5 159 2011 - £264
K2 Raygun 159 2011(i think) - £225
Endevour Live 159 2010/11 - £TBC

All have good reviews, but i’m not sure which would be the better long term investment, and if any fo these would be too advanced and slow down my progress (but equally would look to hang onto the board for a few years as I will purely be holidaying once or twice a year).

Finally, is it worth trying to buy now before the season starts properly, or should I wait till xmas/Ny for sales, as I wont be doing a full week till next March, and can make do till then?

Thanks in advance! :)

Can’t help you with the boards part, but I believe you should be able to use flow bindings with Burton boards no problem.
You might just have to purchase some special binding discs that fit your bindings and have the right mounting pattern to work with Burton boards.

Hope this helps with the bindings!
