Hey Hardy,
are you a beginner or intermediate rider? What are your body stats?
Try to provide us with a couple of more informations so we can give you more accurate help.

Cheers Tobi

I would recommend any of the k2 boards but i think that the raygun would be the best one for your style of riding. either that or the Ride Kink they both are durable for bombing hills and will be good when you decide to start hitting rails later on. Both are under $400. Here you can check em out.

Personally I wouldn’t recommend the Kink or the WWW they are both really soft boards that are tons of fun on small park features but far too soft to blast big open bowls and choppy snow. They’re a bit one dimensional.

I rode an Angus all of last season which was a really great board, it’s extremely progressive for intermediates and is as much fun in the park as it is in the pow.

In the Nitro line you might want to take a look at the Nitro Addict… lots of people raved about last year’s Addict.

75kg is about 160lbs. If in doubt. DigitalDutch.com.

I have been planning to upgrade the skills this year and would like to know more about the thief and whether or not your site is going to update some brands models for reviews?

also i was going through some other sites/forums and looking at the reviews on GNU’s Park Pickle and Carbon Credit? your site doesnt list it as an all mountain but others do. with that being stated what is your opinion on an all mountain board and what do you thing about the two boards i mentioned?

For me an all mountain board is a snowboard that is designed to be ridden hard and fast on steep terrain, black runs, moguls, powder in the trees off jumps. If a board is designed to be ridden on rails it automatically sacrifices torsional stiffness so that it feels forgiving instead of responsive. You can ride the boards you’ve mentioned on the whole mountain, hell if you’re good enough you can ride a snowskate down the entire mountain. Just having rocker that improves the float of a board to me doesn’t make a board all-mountain, you can ride a strapless surfboard on mellow gradient powder runs so it’s hardly a good judge of a board’s performance.

I’ve actually ridden both the CCS and Park Pickle and they’re very fun boards, that are super playful and forgiving when the conditions are good and on fresh corduroy they carve very nicely. But I wouldn’t want to race my friends down a steep black run on one, the waist pivots on the rocker which can make them feel a little sketch on hard pack and also if you are riding at a resort with drag/tow lifts where you have to take out your back foot it can be a bit hiary when the board is swiveling around the waist.

You’ve got to appreciate that every review site is opinion, you just need to have an opinion on whose opinion you trust/believe.
