I was browsing through the 2012 transworld snowboard buyers guide and i came across the 2012 Technine icon board which won a good wood award for park.
After reading the description and review they stated that it was a good all around board for not only jibbing and rails but a good all mountain experience.
i was totally stoked at the boards graphics and design and thought this is the one, however, i havent had a chance to ride it nor value any aspect of it other than a manufacturer opinion.
i was wondering how this board tests and if not a good wood what i should look at for the whole experience.
i consider myself an intermediate rider because i rode every year from about 8-16 but on a nidecker something 150.
i used to be nothing but mountain but i want to jump and rail and butter and all of it. powder backwoods etc.
60 percent mountain
40 percent park
Does anyone have any suggestions for boards, boots, bindings, etc?

Hey there,
for boots and bindings check out our buying guides first:

http://zoryfl.wmw.cc/wordpress/?p=1094 (small article on my personal blog as I can’t seem to find the article here on the site right now)
As for the board: I can’t tell you how the Technine Icon board rides as I have never ridden it myself but from what I can gather it’s a cambered board for riders who mainly freestyle but also want to be able to lay down a carve from time to time.
Other boards I’d recommend for you are in no particular order(all manufacturers known for really good build quality):
NS Evo or Proto (Evo for more park, Proto for more freeriding)
K2 TurboDream (full rocker, great for pow and park but yet really versatile and well capable of piste riding)
Amplid Dopamine (Parkboard but can handle bigger jumps and pretty much anything else you decide to throw it at!)
Rossi Angus (One of our favourites, great allmountain ride, check our reviews!)
If you got any more questions, we’ll be glad to help you out.
Cheers Tobi
