First,  great knowledge on the site.  It sure has helped me.

Quesiton:
What do you feel are the Pro’s and Con’s for buying season ending 2010 models
versus
the expected onslaught of 2011 various camber models?

Not necessarily model specific,  just what is coming down the pipe…

Thanks

M

Hi Michael,

Damn good question. Buy a 2010 deck or hold on and buy one of next season’s boards in October.

I had a good look at next season’s boards at ISPO in Germany last week. To be honest, the big developments in shape and rocker/camber hybrids happened this season. Sure there are a couple of tweaks happening in next seasons boards, for instance, the guys at Rossignol are putting Amptek into all of their boards and they’ve developed three types of Amptek varying the distance between the start and end of the camber and the depth of camber, to change the riding feel. To be honest I think 09/10 was the big year for change. Of course next years boards seem really exciting, but this years boards are fantastic. The only issue you might have with this years boards is that the hottest rides might have sold out by now.
