I had a Nidecker Legend 174 last year loved it but broke it. Thinking about getting the HEAD I. CT this year. Never really heard of HEAD except for skies, and pretty crappy ones at that. But the board looks good on paper lots of tech in it…. any opinions or testimonials? thanks, I like to ride the slackcountry, big mountian comps and hall balls down the mountain. if you have any other suggestions for boards i would appreciate them as well

Before I answer your question McLovinPow I demand to see your Hawiian drivers licence!

I’m afraid I haven’t ridden the I.CT but I have ridden Head boards with Intellifibres and I can vouch for the technology. Regarding other options, it looks like you are set on camber and a fairtly standard directional shape without too much taper. I rode the Salomon Burner (review here) last year and that really is a hell for leather snowboard… I’d definitely give that a look. For it’s simplicity and rugged build you might want to take a look at the Campatriot Outra Vez. For all out tuck and straight-line boards you could check out the Volkl Coal Volkl Coal Review . Also definitely check out the Arbor A-Frame no big mountain snowboard list is complete without it review here.

Let me know if I’m on the right track. Also have you considered looking at a hybrid camber board?

I love Volkl Snowboards I have had 3 Volkl Selecta’s for the past 4 years, but unless i am wrong they stopped distribution in the US. Volkl boards are the fastest boards on the market in my opinion but I cant justify the 700 euros; $1000 USD plus shipping from Germany to the US. Any ideas on how to get my hand on one without dropping $1200+.
