Hey all
Firstly big up on the snowboard reviews. Really helpful, probably the best snowboard review site ive found in my time of searching.
Ive been told that when riding a banana you can ride it shorter than your regular camber board. How much shorter?
Also would this be true for the Lib Tech C2 BTX range?
Im 6"4, 80kgs + 13 feet. I know i need a board about 160-166. Could i get away with a 157 Lib Tech Skunk Ape C2BTX?
I know that it is wide enough, but will it be long enough?
My last season 2 years ago i rode a 157 burton cruzer. It was my first time riding and therefor my first board. If i knew what i know now i would have bought something a little bigger. However, i rode it well over 60days and didnt have too many problems with it, apart from riding it into the ground beyond repair.
Thanks in advance for any replies,
Peas

Hey Matty, welcome…
As for a rockered deck (banana, reverse camber, FK, etc) you typically can ride it shorter because the nose and tail rise earlier and give extra float in pow. As a general idea I would find your normal size in the rockered deck and then pick the next size down… but this does depend on where you will be riding the most.
If you want to do it all then stick to your normal size, if you want to ride more powder and technical lines you would usually size up and park and urban features size down.
Looking at the Skunk Ape the 157 would do the trick if you wanted all around performance.
Hope that helps…
