I’m planing to buy the new 2012 Hovercraft and am not not sure what boots and binding would go with a powder-specific board.  I’ve a pair of Burton driver-x and Co2 but am willing to get someting else if this is not the right combo.  Suggestions are much appreciated.

Sounds like a pretty good combo to me. If you like a stiff and supportive set up then there probably many better bindings and boots. I think Jeremy Jones uses the top of the range Carbon Fibre Nidecker bindings with his Setups, I have some old Rossi Jeremy Jones Bindings I like to freeride with, they have a firm highback and a wide ankle strap that is very supportive. I think your Burton gear will work great.
