Soo yeah, another help me pick a board

Hello!

Hoping the people on here can help, looking for a board to help me jib about a bit more and get me going in the park!

Currently Riding an Apo Selekta (2011) 153.

Finding it a bit stiff for me, wonder if anyone could recommend some boards that are a bit softer on the flex but still got that pop!.

Stats: I’m: 9st/126lb/57KG - 5,9” and a US shoe size 9.

Kinda light so i’m wondering if this is my problem.  Smaller board maybe?  Not really sure what my ideal size should be.  Recommendations?

Been looking at the Lib skate Banana , GNU street and Neversummer Evo. (2011)

All seem like really nice boards.  Wondering what the flex is like on them and how it compares to the APO Slekta.  Would preferably like something a bit softer than the APO.

Anyone know?

Yeah both of those boards are super fun. I’ve ridden both and my personal favourite is the Dopamine but that’s because I like the Jib rocker profile more than a full parabolic rocker and I like the flex of the board to come from between the bindings because it keeps the tips lively for ollies and firm enough for charging. Both are pretty playful but the Dopamine is a little damper and perhaps a touch firmer flexing. On the Dopamine you’d definitely be looking at the 150 on the Westmark the 150 or 153. gotta say the Dopamine sounds a lot like what i’m looking for.  Any main differences between the 2010-2011 & the 2011-2012 versions despite graphics?

Absolutely no changes what so ever, although next year’s graphics are rad. Give Benny at Big Dreams (Wareham, Dorset) a call he’s the UK distributor and he’ll no doubt be able to find you the board you are after.

Nice one! Think i’ll go for the 2010-2011 graphics if he’s got em, loving the insane design on that :)
