Hey All,
I was really wanting to score a Jones Mountain Twin, but I can’t find a 164w ANYWHERE!!! I have emailed sent numerous emails to Chad in Sales at Jones Snowboards with no success.
My second choice was/is the K2 Turbo Dream 2011. I am going to buy this board and am now trying to figure out which binding is going to work best on this board.
I am an intermediate rider that will go off piste to hit nature jumps. I’m sure I will love to hit the glades once I get a little more confidence. They intimidate me right now. Eventually, I am thinking I might hit the park a bit too. I can see myself going in there from time to time for fun.
Any thoughts? I need the bindings to be versatile since I am the type of person that likes to do a lot of different things. I have done some research and found the Rome Targa’s to be a popular choice, but they look a bit cumbersome and the toe strap doesn’t look very adjustable.
So, any suggestions on which bindings will go well with the K2 Turbo Dream 2011 and an intermediate rider that will be going piste, off-piste/glades and a little park (eventually)?
Thanks! Cheers,
Mike

I’m riding the 2010 Targas and it’s very adjustable. Flex is nice around a medium-stiff flex. What do you mean by toe strap doesn’t look very adjustable? It works fine for me. You might also want to look at Flux bindings (maybe the SF45) if you like adjustability.

What I mean by the toe strap not looking very adjustable is that it doesn’t appear to be able to be shifted forward or backward. Perhaps all binding are that way.
Questions on the Targa’s, does the toe strap ride up the boot at all? Or does it actually stay on the toe?
Excuse all the questions on Bindings. I’m new to researching bindings. My experience has been with rentals/demos. Haven’t had too much experience. The only thing I know I don’t want is that two strap riding up my boot.
Also, I want to be able to quickly get in and out of the binding without leaving the strap-in style.
Another suggested binding I found for the K2 Turbo Dream is the K2 Formula. However, the toe strap on those look like they sit on-top of the foot rather than holding the toe back. Thanks for the suggestion on the Flux.
Skip11, what type of boarding to you do? I’m all over the mountain but will be staying mostly on piste while venturing off. Eventually, I might venture into the park from time-to-time as I get more and more confident. I think I would also really enjoy the glades.

Targa’s toe strap can go over the toe or as a toe cap so it’s pretty adjustable. I ride mostly all mountain in Whistler, hitting the steeps when there’s powder. Other than that mostly just carving, still learning butter tricks and small jumps.

Toe cap is my preference. More responsive in that format in my opinion. Appreciate your feedback, ski11.
Anyone else have any suggestions to bindings for the K2 Turbo Dream 2011?
I’m leaning towards Rome Targa’s.
