Hey there, I finished my first year of snowboard and I got a few weeks worth out of my first board, k2 anagram. Im in snowboard school (we go 8 times a season) and I sometimes go with my dad, on days out of school. My board got a lot of chips taken out, and it was starting to affect the turn. A lot of reviews on the k2 anagram said that they got chips taken out to. I might have to get a new board for next season, and I looked at a few. I am bout 5’10” and 160 pounds, and intermediate, and my fav things to ride on are powder and sidetrails, and sometimes ill take a few park runs, but I HATE SO MUCH riding on regular groomers (my local mountain has boring groomer laps). I’ve looked at a lot of board sizing charts, and they were way off from what the ski shop guy said. So what size will I need to expect for next year? Keep up the good work on the wesite!

Depending on where you want ride and how you want to progress your skills I’d suggest the following.

Jib: 151-153
Freestyle: 153-156
All Mountain: 157-159
Freeride & Powder: 159-165

Of course when you select a board length make sure the board is designed for that type of riding. You don’t want to be riding a super stiff 153 freeride board as a jib board. Alo it’s a good idea to make sure you fit within the realms of the board manufacturer’s weight guidlines.

If you need any advice on boards just holler.
