Can anyone comment on performance differences between the two! Aside from the environment friendly construction.

I read the HP is lighter, stiffer and more damp and therefore can be more aggressive! I’ve also read on counter reviews that it’s not worth the $100 difference as performance is almost identical.

I would appreciate any feedback.

Cheers…

Well the shape and core profile are identical so the difference won’t be that huge. I’m afraid I haven’t ridden the Horsepower version but I have ridden a few boards with Basalt and they had a nice poppy flex and damp ride characteristics. Sorry I’m stating the obvious here but you really need to get on bothe boards to discover the difference. The TRice is on my test list for May so if they have a horsepower too, I’ll give it a whirl and see what the differences are.

I would be grateful if you can test both and give feedback.

I ask cause I bought this year model 164.5! Love it at every level for jumps, landings, charging, pop, boxes… You name it! :) So, wondering if HP will add more to all that feel (especially being lighter and more damp). If the HP significantly improves on the base pro model (say poppier & more damp) then I may just grab the 2012 model and part with mine!

If the difference isn’t really that big to notice, then I’ll just keep mine!

Note; can’t demo Lib boards here!

Cheers….

Hmm, I thought they have different cores? I think the regular one has H-Pop Core (whatever that is) and the HP version has a columbian gold wood core (which is the same as the TRS core).

Rich… so did you get a chance to demo the two boards?

Cheers…
