So I’ve been saving all winter and finally have enough money for a new setup. Most likely when the new boards come out. With that being said like to see what you guys would suggest I buy. I already have a capita sierrascope 155 with union forces. I am inter/advanced rider, love boxes rails and jumps.the board Ibuy will be pretty much for park. I am 5 11 and weigh 180.                                  My picks so far are 2012 never summer evo, 2012 rome mod or agent,  2012 arbor draft.(pretty stuck on union forces) Thanks for the help

HI Chad,

Welcome to Snowboard-Review.com, hopefully we can help you find the perfect board.

So you’ve been riding a Capita Sierra Scope, is there anything about the board that you would like different?

Is it a bit lacking of pop, or a bit washy in carves… where would you improve it? Would you like a similar flex or a bit firmer?

I’m guessing you are pretty set on rocker… have you though about zero camber?

Rich

Id like more pop and little more all around park board. I like the flex of the sierra scope its nice forpresses.that said I am willing to go a bit firmer. I would like a more jump friendly board.mine washes out on bigger jumps…yes I have thought about zero camber and reg camber I don’t really have a preference when it comes to that.

Well the Mod gets rockered next year and Rome are still stuffing it full of carbon Pop rods and every kind of reinforcement you can think of… it could be a good choice, it’s on our test list. In a similar vein the Endeavor Live comes rockered and cambered next year and looks incredible. The big zero camber release of next season has got to be the K2 Happy Hour… if you haven’t seen it… it looks crazy. K2 call it their stabby twin shape. I gather it’s much the same as the believer. I’m not sure I’d suggest the Arbor Draft, I like the Westmark which is supposed to be firmer and for me it was still a little soft for big kicker riding. One of the boards I’m really excited about testing in 2 weeks time is the DC PLY, it has a unique profile called lock and load camber, it’s essentially camber between the feet and extended unweighted contact points. We’ll be testing all of these boards in 2 weeks time and posting the reviews around August time, so there will be plenty of time to make a decision before the boards arrive in the stores.

Ok cool ill lpok into those. The ply was actually another board I was thinking about Thanks for the help ill def read the reviews when theycome out so would recommend the evo or not. I know it destroys rails but hows it match up to the mod or other boards when it comes to jumps. Once again thanks for the help o and would you size down or should I stick to the 155

Oh yeah the Evo. This is a very versatile board. It won our “king of jib” award this year against a really strong field and it’s a very versatile snowboard. It will work on the groomers, in a bit of pow and especially on bigger jumps. It’s alos one of those boards that you can ride a little shorter. I would suggest with your height and weight you look at the 155. The only issue with the Evo is the price… but it does have a 3 year warranty.
