I’d welcome some advice please
I’ve just been offered the chance to but a Nitro Swindle (157) and K2 Formulas used for one week for £220. I’m 6’1 and 180 pounds (13 stone). Boot size UK 9
I’ve four weeks experience but seem to be stuck in a bi of a rut at the minute and think it is down to the pain I get in my feet. I’ve got my own boots and inserts and have ordered some custom inserts however had it suggested that my own board and bindings would be beneficial. I’ve a very tight budget so thought this wouldn’t be possible but the above offer has got me thinking.
I’m a bit confused by whether I’ll be better served with a fee style board or free ride.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers

It’s possible that using your own set-up might reduce foot pain, particularly as you can adjust the straps so they are a perfect fit. Regarding the Swindle and Formulas set-up, that’s a very freestyle combination, but it’s ideal if you spend the majority of your time in the park or jibbing around the groomers. What does a normal day of snowboarding consist of for you? Where do you usually ride and how much time do you spend in the park? What element of snowboarding do you most want to develop over the next year or two?

I’m keen to develop everything, thus far I spend very little time in parks but would like to take that up.
My primary thing is to minimise the foot pain as much as possible for harder groomed pistes as this is where I experience particular issues. I’m just wondering if I’m likely to come across such a good offer in future, but equally don’t want to throw what little cash I have at a setup that wont solve my problems.
