Can anyone give an opinion on the most damp board out there today? Cheers…

Haven’t tried them yet, but Never Summer supposedly makes some really damp boards (Raptor, Heritage, Premier F1, SL).

I’ve had a NS Titan X and that board was super damp, but heavy (too much board). I’m looking for something lighter but similar feel. So far, I’m most impressed with Nitro Panteta that I took out on demo days. But wanted to know if other ppl have opinions on other boards to consider.

I’ve not ridden the Panterra but I’m with Rico the NS boards are the dampest boards I have ridden. Arbor’s freeride offerings and Good Boards are pretty damp too but NS are in a league of their own.

I also found Ride boards are pretty damp, but I don’t know how they compare to NS since I’ve never tried NS.

I’ll go ahead and throw in my two cents.
I haven’t ridden any other brand but Never Summer since about ‘96 so I can’t compare how they rate to others as far as dampness. I will say that you really can’t go wrong with them. They absorb bumps and hold an edge in anything. I’m currently riding a 2011 Heritage X which rates a 7 out of 10 on the damp scale, and it charges through all types of snow. It is also very light. I also had the opportunity to ride a 2012 Revolver last Saturday, and while it only rates a 3 out of 10 on dampness, it was still very stable at high speed. I could definitely feel the bumps more in my legs compared to my Heritage, but never felt like I was going to get tossed around.
I dont’ know what kind of magic they got going on at the NS factory, but they figured out the whole dampening thing a long time ago.

I will throw the Turbo Dream in this mix as well… demoed it early this year and it has crazy dampening with the Harshmellow technology, very legit in my books.

I enjoy riding different brands and models. Haven’t been on a K2 yet, but maybe this year.
The Ride Machete I had was damp and super easy on the back leg (almost no leg burn) even though it’s middle of the line in terms of Ride board specs.
The Nitro I was very impressed with on demo day and I had my T6 before and after to gauge the difference. The Panteta was fast and real damp.
I’m just thinking there had to be boards from Volkl, nidecker, ampled or other (than NS) which are super damp and built fir this market niche.
For reference, I got my sight on a raptor x next season, but would love to try something else from another brand that is equal or better in the damp scale.
Cheers…

Follow-up to this, I read a review here for the Salomon Burner with “rubber rails” for dampening! Conclusion… fast and super damp! Any opinions on that board and how it compares to the Nitro Pantera or NS Raptor in this regard?
