Hey everyone,

I used the Board Selecta! and it recommended the Burton Bullet 2011 mid wide board. I’m a beginner (and future addict) I just had my first boarding experience.

I stand at 1m85 with +/- 85 kg on 44-45 (EU) size feet.

I hail from the flat lands of Belgium, if anyone knows a shop over here or on the net where I can buy this board that would be awesome.

Also tips to what bindings/boots to get would be much appreciated :-)

Greetings

You can order it from Blue-Tomato.com they have 10% off at the minute… not the bargain of the century but every little helps and you’lll get free delivery. I’d probably get some Burton Custom bindings with it,  or go for something else basic like the Salomon Arcade.

Thanks Rich for the recommendation and the find :-)

Which boots should I get to go with that board? I’ve been reading a bit about it and I think that A regular(?) soft boot is what I need.

Snowboard boots are all about fit. Different brands tend to model their boots on an average foot with different ratios, e.g. Burton might make the heel slighly wider than on a Vans boot, and salomon might use a more pronounced arch… with boots you really need to try on a couple of brands until you find a good fit. I’ve ridden Vans for years, I can order them off the internet now because I know a size 9 Vans boot will fit me perfectly after 2 weeks of breaking it in. For the boots go to a shop and try at least 4 different brands. But yeah a medium flex is a good bet.

Thanks a bunch for the help.

I’m eyeing this boot right now: Vans Encore 10/11

Will try to stop at a shop later today and fit some boots.

I’m ordering the board from blue tomato now and I’ll buy the binding with boots when I know which boot I want

That’s a good idea, if you buy Salomon boots you’ll find they have the best fit with a Salomon binding etc etc.

Good luck with the boot fitting.

bought van’s encore boots and burton bindings, altough not the burton custom binding the restricted mission binding. I had a good deal on both of them combined they costed around 260€, which is about the store price for the boot normally (over here at least)
