Hello,

I need some advice as to what kind of board I should get…

Currently I have a 162 Rome Anthem, it’s a great board.
I really want to get a second board for night riding and more fooling around…

I am 6’1, 200 lbs. with a size 10 boot. The 162 is great but I want something that I don’t have to work so hard for a tail press, and can press the nose without risking a yard sale… And most definitely ride switch.
I am not a huge park guy, I enjoy it but would rather find my own obstacles and hits.

I was seriously considering getting a 157.5 Gnu rider’s choice but I noticed it doesn’t have wrap around edges… I am pretty sure this will be a problem, So I started looking elsewhere. Currently I have my eyes on a 158 Never Summer evo.

Would this be a good choice for me? Do any of you have any alternative suggestions?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Hi Binkob,

Yeah the Evo is a great choice, although it might be worth checking that your boot size wouldn’t fit the slightly wider Revolver better.

I might also check out the K2 Parkstar, Ride Machete, Amplid Declaration and the the Rome Postermania and Pusher. These boards use a more conventional parabolic rocker or jib rocker where the board is flat between the bindings and then rockers at the tips. This will naturally feel more playful than boards with rocker between the feet and camber at the tips, but will have a little less pop.
