Hello I consider myself to be a beginner-intermediate snowboarder. I am looking to purchase my first snowboard after borrowing/renting them. So far I have been sticking mostly to groomed blue/green trails and riding through short patches of trees in powder. I want to get a board that will allow me to carve groomed trails and navigating powder while still allowing me to try my hand at jumping natural terrain and park jumps. Im 6’1” and about 200 pounds with size 11 boots. I really like Never Summer being that they are made in the US and come with a 3 year warranty so would like to purchase that brand. I was thinking the SL would be a good fit for me however I am concerned it may be too aggressive for a beginner/intermediate rider? Also should i bump up to the Legacy due to the size 11 boots? I was thinking 161 would be a good length. Thanks in advance for your responses.

The SL is quite an agressive board for a beginner, but if you buy a 161 you’ll be heavy enough to work the flex fairly easily. Whether you go for the Legacy…. you’d probably be alright on the SL but you certainly wouldn’t have any issues with the Legacy.
