Hey,

I am looking at buying a new snowboard and would like some advice please? I am currently riding a nitro fate 152 that was given to me. It is a flat camber board and I quite like it (i don’t like rockers) bit I think that something smaller and lighter would suit me better. I am 5ft 2, around 65kg and have size 5 uk feet. I am an intermediate rider and am doing small jumps and jibbing around a little bit. I have narrowed my choice down to the rome vinyl, salomon lily, k2 fling or the rossignol justice. has anyone got any views on these boards or got one of them?

You’re a bit more advanced than me, but I am already looking out for my next snowboard for when I improve come next snow season.

I currently have a Ride Control 155 (I’m 5’6”). I heard that’s a pretty good beginner to intermediate board. Sorry, I can’t say how it rides since I just got it and have yet had a chance to take it for a ride yet. Hopefully next weekend! (Should have gone this weekend but had to work on taxes… =/ )

The other board that I may end up getting is the Burton Custom Flying V. If you’re needing one right now, You can probably get the 2011 for a good price. I myself is probably going to wait for the 2012 model since they may some changes to it. I was asking a guy at the local ski & sport store and he said the Custom Flying V is definitely the way to go. It’s a mixed camber board and suppose to be pretty good for everything. On the other hand, it’s probably not too specialized to do something particular very well. I’m more of a generalist, so this fits more with my philosophy. But if you really want a to specialize in parks and such, you may want to consider other boards. On the other hand, if you’re still intermediate, it may not make that much a difference to you.

Good luck and let me know what you end up getting!
