Hey Guys,

I am 181cm and weigh 82kg, I’ve got my heart set on the NS revolver 159. I currently have a END paavo 157 which is a wicked board but is getting old now and lets me down in the POW (mainly cause it’s too short).

Now up until yesterday I was all set to get the NS for my all mountain stick, but today I decided to join some friends next year in Gulmarg, which is all back country and POW.

So any one have experience with the revolver in Powder?
Do you think the length (59) and the rocker will make it good enough in pow or is it just too soft and park orientated?

I don’t want to have to work hard on the back leg like i did in Japan last season!

In the end I will spend more days in places like NZ where I will get some Pow, some piste and some park action

any info would rock

When hell freezes over i’ll snowboard there too!

If your main concern that it will perform when charging the whole mountain, with an emphasis on powder then check out the Legacy.  Or if you’re torn between the two then wait for the 2011/2012 proto CT to come out, had the pleasure of demoing one last week and I’m still smiling.

I have about 150 days on my SL, and absolutely love it for the entire mountain.  For an all around board i would choose the SL/Legacy over the Revolver/Evo.  I rode my brothers Evo for about a week this season and while I loved it in the park, it felt good to be cruising on my SL again.  While not as soft and loose as the Evo, the SL still is a very playful board to butter and press around.

My main concern is all mountain, with emphasis on still being playful. It’s seems like the SL or proto CT might suit me better.

From your experience what would you say are the main difference between the proto and SL?

Thanks heaps for your advice Panda

I think the main difference is that the Proto uses the carbonium topsheet which gives it a firmer more lively flex than the revolver. I also believe it’s a little damper. Like the Revolver it’s a true twin shape but has slightly blunted tips. I shouldn’t think it’ll be cheap.

Ok so i’m torn between Revolver 59 and proto 58!

The Gulmarg trip looks like it’s off and another Japan trip is on, so still powder but mixed in with jibbing and park runs.

Wish I could demo them but that’s impossible living in thailand. Decisions decisions decisions!

Thanks guys
