Been riding a Libtech TRS for 3 years.  Like it.  Been trying to decide between an new TRS and a NS SL.  I found a good deal from from local shop on the 2010/2011 TRS and bought it last night.

I’m feeling a little bit like I do in my favorite restaurant when I keep ordering the same thing because I know I’ll like it, but I’m afraid I’m missing out on something better.  I imagine when I stop thinking about it and just ride I’ll be happy with whatever.  I buy boards every few years, so I’ll be committed to this deck for at least a few seasons.

I also read posts, after the purchase, of a bunch of people complaining about Lib’s crappy bases.  I haven’t really had any issues, seems fast to me, although I always assumed I was riding a Sintered rather than extruded base and kind of surprised to find Lib using an extruded base at that price point.

I could return this new TRS, or shut up and ride it tomorrow…

I also need advice on bindings.  I’ve been riding Missions for years, don’t love them.  Considering Ride Deltas, Rome 390s and Union Contacts.  Any thoughts?

Well if you don’t have any issues with the base then I say stick with it. Maybe give it a few more days to ride and if you don’t like it than you can return it.

Update…

Just found out no return on sale items from this shop, so that makes my decision easy, I’m riding it tomorrow!

I’ve always liked my base fine, I fly by people on the flats, and it goes as fast as I want it to go, it’s held up well also, so it should be a non-issue.
