Hi.. just like a lot of other people I’m looking to get a good beginning board—I’m from the south and this is my first winter where there’s snow. I’ve been out a couple of times, but I’m still working on it. The board I currently have is very difficult to work with… I really have to wind up and kick it to get it to turn. It’s a Salomon VT4 maiden (145 I think)... I got it because it was super cheap.

I’ve been looking at a couple of different boards to get that are more entry level:
(my info: I’m about 5’4” and 110 lbs, boot size 7.)

—Rossignol Myth 144
—Head Glam Rocka 143
—K2 Moment 142
—Atomic Enemy 144
—Burton Feather 144

So far I’m leaning more towards the Rossi right now. It’s not so expensive.. it’s good to start on but isn’t so far as to be lame when you know how.. and it’s a plus that I really like the graphic.
Is it a good choice? I need all the help I can get!!

Hi there Eli,
the Myth seems to be a nice beginners board for female riders. It might be cheap but Rossi is producing some great rides so you better not think about it as trash! Still, it probably won’t be a keeper for more than some years if you are planning on riding more than 1-2 weeks a year. So it’s up to you now, go with the Myth for a really nice and easy start or go with a slightly stiffer and more expensive board which will make you work harder for your first steps but will be your companion for some more advanced hours on the mountain!

Hope this helped, Cheers Tobi
