Hi All,
Firstly great site, I’ve spend the last couple of days ready the website and I love it.
Now I’m after some help choosing a new board but im struggling finding the correct size. ill first give a bit of background about myself /riding.
I’m 26 and 5”4 (as you guessed from the title I’m a shortarse), about 65-70Kg. I’ve been riding about 5 years mainly at my local indoor slop, and try and get away for 2 weeks each year.
Id class myself as a decent intermediate rider, and last season started hitting kickers and boxes and off piste properly.
I Currently ride a 145cm Nitro Eero Esatto board that I got 5 yrs ago on second holiday, and due to its size is actually a kids board but has been amazing !!
However its got a bit tired and I’m after upgrading but really struggling to find anything around the 145cm length, I was going to look at kids board but my local shop said these are made completely different to adult boards so stay well clear..
I learnt on a 156 (stiff as hell) Lamar I picked up for £50 just to get me riding but this was really way to big so I’m a bit reluctant to go much larger that 145.
I have found the following and would like people’s opinions on then be it good or bad.
- K2 WWW 148cm (£210) – but I have heard as they are so soft they can wash out when hammering it down the piste
- Forum ScallyWag 151cm £260, - but im not sure if it will be too big.
- Ride Crush 152 – again I don’t know if this will be too big.
I would mainly be using the board for all mountain with a few days freestyle.
Where I live there are no local shops that will let you test the boards so I have to take a gamble… PLEASE HELP
Cheers
James (sorry for the essay)
